About us ::

Inversion Magazine is a quarterly publication of non-fiction, essays, fiction, reviews and more. The magazine was created in 2001 by a group of young, underemployed journalists, writers and musicians.

The editors believe that modern media is severely handicapped and prejudiced. We believe that not every published story is good, and that, unfortunately, many good stories aren't published.

Nitelite II Inversion was created to protest this anemic media environment and provide new writers with an outlet for material that doesn't fit into the scope of their day jobs or isn't making it into the mainstream. Many contributors are full-time journalists; others work in book publishing, architecture, television, government or Web design. The magazine does not represent or promote a particular political agenda and its editorial staff publishes stories of all kinds based on quality, intellectual vigor or bribery.

Inversion is published each season. New material is also posted regularly between issues. In most cases, individual authors retain copyright control over the material they publish on Inversion. In select cases, material on the site becomes the property of the magazine. All graphics and photos are the property of Inversion unless otherwise noted.

Inversion is funded by private donations of time and money. The site is hosted by The Blue Ocean; it is designed and maintained by Inversion staff.
